 About This Site

The purpose of this site is to inform those with hearing and speech disabilities about relay services which are available in their respective states, especially those  services made for people with speech disabilities.

I've provided  links that I hope will be helpful to everyone around the country.  The speech disabled are no longer limited to relying on someone else to make calls for them.

People with speech disabilities are able to make calls almost as easily as anyone  else who is not speech disabled, and, in instances where communication is an essential part of one's job, they can perform as well the next person. Employers can feel confident in hiring people with speech disabilities, now that there are services  available to enable them to communicate by phone effectively.  

There is a page on this site that explains how the Maryland Relay System works , but other states have services such as these, as well.

It is my hope that the links I've provided will open doors for those of us with speech disabilities who are not aware that making a phone call is not a problem.
